We Thought we would tease you all a little with responses fom the First BETA test.. The Second BETA will Start Shortly

Here are Some Comments From The UV BETA Testers on their first impression of the Mod.

We are Still Pushing for a Christmas release if The UV Gods are Willing.

i have played in the north quadrant server a long time ago.

1) everybody regenned there.
2) the ships turned and thrusted way too fast.

i found it was like fighting in drakes with hulls of a titan while everyone regenned.

one pvp would last like 10 mins
it was rediculas for me.

i loved the mod
the systems
the ships
planets
alot of the people

but if the pvp sucks,
i lose intrest very fast.

i did notice the thrusters in the UV max out same as vanilla.
so that is great......i am hoping that fixes what i didnt like about NQ.
but most ships straif and turn very fast.

but before i personally concider it a real concern, i do need to have some pvp's with people to test it out.
that is one thing that has been in the back of my mind while beta testing.



but all that being said
i love the vast choices of ships.
the look of them
the differences in load outs and abillities

will be very fun to not see everyone in an eagle.
heh.

the rp ideas are great.
the bases are fantastic.
i love mine!

The Second Beta is well underway.. and we are tweaking the Final product

Missions have been added thanks to the help from FlyByU.. PVP testing is on going and the DRH players have given their input to some changes Dwn has made..

with the Help of our DRH players,,, everything is really starting to tighten up and we should have some exciting News within the next couple of weeks.

We thank you all for your patience while we finished up the testing and final tweaking of our Mod.. we are very proud of the final product and hope you will all have a look at it when we go public..

THIS IS THE FINAL TEST BEFORE RELEASE

Fixes Since BETA 5


The final custom voices are inserted

Foil has given us a 3rd thn intro scene!

Wyno and Fusion went through all the ships and added HpCockpit

Fusion fixed the Dark Angel sur

I fixed an error I made in two empathies, thanks Wyno

Machete Bug has given us two new music scores

Gallows has given us 3 new music scores

Grendel has applied MOtahs offsets and we now have custom house names showing in each system

Grendel has applied Fox_Unit_01's offsets and we now have each and every base in the UnderVerse wishing you safe journey as you launch

Wyno has adjusted lootprops and RMlootprops so the npcs will drop goodies in random encounters and during missions

Stock thrusters fixed and have thrust from 9-25 seconds. The Merchant thruster is unlimited

All bases and planets have new music inserted. This involved taking our 44 appropriate

pieces of music and distributing them amongst approximately 2000 rooms, keying them to
match the desired mood of the base or planet.

The uber thruster has been removed

Start cash is set to $50,000

The Origin wormholes have been turned one-way only

I removed the 'anomoly detected' sound, it would stick in a loop sometimes

I increased the volume on the 4 faction welcome voices

I added 10 seconds of silence at the start of Dia's welcome so the new launch voice wouldn't interrupt her

I added 20 seconds of silence after Dia's welcome voice so it wouldn't loop immediately

Check for issues with the new intro screen featuring the U-571 Battleship. If it crashes players in space, it might lag the intro, let me know

Known issue...entering any system from the Origin into the interior of the asteroid will show atmo burn (no damage). I don't know how to turn this off

All clouds are now named, thanks for the suggestions!

The suns in the Origin now have names

Many thanks to Hydra for supplying the Beta server!

In total we have had 100 beta testers since Beta 1, thanks to all!
Special thanks goes to MET fire~ant with 84 hours of testing!

Before release, still need to:

finish bribes
finish FLAC adjustments
finish Clan Faction Editor adjustments
AlphaDog has taken charge of totalling the cash that our Descent Retirement Home players get back!
