good job sev. I agree. I have been playing these advanced mods for a very long time and i say that most of the time the changes have been positive uh, not that i always agreed but I enjoy working my way up to get the top loadouts. Certainly when you finally get there you have a sense of accomplishment. easy and handouts are not the way to go. Earn your way. Help others, escort, move inventory. Like the independance of being a freelancer and choosing when I want to collaborate, or fly joint missions. Because I only get a couple hours at a time, I probably miss out on events but will participate when it works out.

One thing I would like to suggest if possible is a "locker" for players with a "pin lock" that can store a limited amount of items that could be used to pass on "hand-me-downs" to other characters or players. Just a thought it works well in other unrelated games. It would have to be in a future upgrade. It wouldn't have to be on every base, but a few strategically placed by the player or by FlyByU.

There is something in the points that sev brings up, but I wonder where the mod will go if it gets to the point that only the very Best of the Elite Players can enjoy it in those outer systems. If you need a Group or Team to venture there, and never find a Group or Team available when you wish to go?

The more Average Player finds Frustration in situations like that.

I fully agree Sev. I think you hit the nail on the head. The BH's are as they should be now they were weaker before because they had the load out of a barracuda. If I don't want a challenge then I will kill barracuda's. I think the only thing that was tough about the nomads was their increased AI, but hey they should be smarter as they pretty much almost manipulated all of Sirius at one point hehehe. But I think if you work hard and use this mod to develop your freelancer skills it will help you later on in the game. I say leave things the same if you change anything then just reduce the nomad AI slightly above what it was in .79

Lone wolf, I dont think that I qualify as a "elite" player. Just persistent and willing to go "boom" more frequently than usual. I dont hold inventory or items on my active characters so dont really lose a lot, just those items i earned during current sorties and battles. Hate when i lose a heavy thruster or advance cm cause i fell asleep but thats part of the game. win some lose some. I mostly stay in the areas where I can survive most of the time. Venture out on occasion but know that there will be a price to pay. I like it that we dont get a lot of players or people who dont respect the game or the people here. I play almost 100% here becuase i just cant tolerate the goons and goofs on the largely popular servers. I have invested lots of hours there hoping it would be different but it always ends up with a bunch of complainers, winers and bullies. So i goto other places or just dont play. Dont need additional grief in my old age, real life provides enough of that.

sorry for the long wind, but in a nut shell I like Advance the way it is. Fine tune tweaks are just fine but lets keep it overall the way it is.

BTW, there are a lot of great players out there on the other servers, its just the bullies that get to me. Since I am almost always a loner, the always seem to finally find me. Then I disappear.

Of course Freighters as cargo haulers. Right now all ships are at 80. Right now there is really no advantage to having a light fighter or even a medium/heavy fighter. This may change all of that. It would have to be tested and tweaked to get it right and if all else fails we can always go back to the 80 speed for all.


That's the way Eagle had his mod set up but, I'm not sure if it was just the class of ship or, the better the ship the higher it's speed was according to class? Good idea though.

Based on the numbers of posts requesting Leaving the mod as it currently is, I would bow to the masses.

(I just hope that some day some of those masses might be available for Escort into those last three Nomad systems that my two main toons need to get mapped)

*Tweaking the new NPC ships turn rate
*Lowering the Nomad AI
*Adding life to Prison Station Mitchell in Alaska so it can be used. It will be an LSF prison and have missions vs. Nomads on it.
*Adding The Shipyard in Alaska to be used as a base and putting the Liberty Cruiser on it to buy.

Will update as I think of more or more suggestions come in.

if you left the nomad AI the same but increased the number of bats and bots as loot that may help. (tried my first mission on the new version against the nomads tonight in alpha). yes I came a cropper with l 10 pplant nomad armour and l 7 shield. IN a sabre mk 2, still i learned i must use strafe more hehehe. (my load is a mixture of nomad guns). Still it was fun. I flew from gamma and went throught many bh along the way. I need to refine my tacticts now and must use avoidance more. I do not consider myself an elite player, more persistent until i figure a way to win. Well gtg (last day at school just finished and i think i need a little playtime myself with the rest of us tired teachers :) cyas later).

Will add more bots to loot. Should all NPC ships be given more?
Also need feedback on the mod and what you would like to see more of?
How are the drops should they be increased?
How is the play is it fun or is it tedious?

Sound off here and we can see what we need to change or add etc.

I am getting ready to start modding again but have not had any feed back on the last update. I take it we must have all the bugs worked out now.
