If anyone is having problems installing post here.

Also is there any advice for people that have Win 7 and when they click on the .flmod file it just opens it up instead of installing to FLMM?

I did set my FL files to run as XP Mode.

I have not had any problems with Loading.

Forgot: I also just loaded the mod in FLMM, but I launch the game with the IP connector.

Was talking about this with LW and he thought it might be a conflict with a Win-Zip program or something along that lines.

The last time I tried to DL the mod, I did not see it on my system, so when I was on the DL screen, and the option came up, I selected Open, and it installed into FLMM from that click.

I have seen problems with other SW that get blocked or changed by firewall programs when they are viewed as an executable.

Wel I don't know what I did exactly but I got the mod in the FLMM. However. even though the mod was activated by FLMM when I go to the server list. i see that the server is still not compatible with my version of Freelancer. Therefore I have no access to the sever! Being omputer illiterate does have it's dissadvantages. Maybe this dog is too old to learn new tricks!

how did you get the mod in flmm? did you unzip it in the flmm mod folder or did you double click on the mod itself and it self installed?

Also make sure you Downloaded the latest one I put up yesterday. v79c it fixes a bug with the power-plants.

If anyone else has had this problem or can explain what needs to be do please do so. I will be gone for most of the day today so all help will be appreciated.

No older than this dog, I bet.

Open my computer, then Program Files, (Might be "X86), open folder Microsoft Games, then, Freelancer Folder. In that, open EXE Folder, look down the list to find file: fldirectip.hta"

Right click it, and Send to Dest Top, (Create a Short cut)

When you click on that on the desk top, you enter FBU server IP: 24.14.79.22

Click add server, then Launch Freelancer on that screen.

I have found that if I do not launch from that server connector, FBU's server does not come up on the global listing.

He said that the server isn't compatible so that means that the mod isn't installed right in the FL folder or FLMM. Or the mod fl exe isn't installed into the FL exe folder. I have to go out for the day so if anyone has had this problem in the past please post how you fixed it.

Just a note for those that get hit by Lag on occasion, like myself this AM and sev98 Yesterday.

If you are dropped by the lag, that slow packet exchange, or what ever you call it, causes the server to think, some times for an extended time frame, that you are still on and playing.

When you are dropped, and try to log back in after you get back to the Global List, it says your account is already in use, and you are not allowed to re-load that toon. This AM, I had to wait for several minuets before it let me reload the toon it had dropped due to the lag I was experiencing. When the server SW finally sees that you are, in fact, gone, it will then let you re-load that toon.

Patience is the key.
