Actually I hunt Barracuda in Magellan system, and I begin to feel this good old pressure

But barracuda use Tapdolle mine as kamikase, If it don't auto-destruct, nothing can be take when ship explode. So I earn more money in liberty with small pirana (more 130.000 per thruster or shield) than harder mission in Magellan ...

In open sp bigdaddy, NPC use better their mines, and use anti-shield mine.

Ok, after some missions, Barracuda are very foreseeable. They use mine only if shield is down and armor damaged, they drop all mine at once = nothing can resist if you stay behind

uh-oh, I make other mission near Montezuma base in Cortez, killing Bretonia ship's for 100.000$
But ships drop many items, and I earn near million of credit ...

Those mines can be loot thieves if you don't watch them better to just shot them if you can.
