Hello guys and gals.. XLR started (well tryed to) its server tests today only one problem...
could a german speaking admin please kindly explain the meaning of "reserved" to these ppl
i'd rather not do it myself (in the interests of good PR im kinda furious  )

You reserved those numbers just a short time ago. Perhaps they have been using them for some time, hard to tell since I don't think they visit here.
Is there any way to track them down to talk to them?

ok i'll change it but i got 1 problem here.....
I came to you guys for a build # ,and followed the "rules" set out by you in order to obtain a legit build # for my mod.. i submitted the number.. and it was aproved by you the powers that be... weeks ago..
now why am i finding out now on the day we goto launch that its already taken? keeping in mind i know very well "what happend" to the original data and all that other "stuff" i won't disclose here..
XLR is a 2 year old development that i hold dear to my heart (and so does my team) to say this "hurt" would be a gross understatement...
now i ask you.. how would you feel?
I have to discuss this with the team before i say anymore or decide on the "next" build number..

I'll be honest and say a version number is something so ridiculously unmeaningful I wouldn't get all in the air for it. It's taken? Too bad, I'll choose the next one.
Also, remember this list is NOT an official thing. You really think anyone can actually regulate what people want to do with their mods? This list is a voluntary effort to help prevent this sort of thing, but that doesn't mean there isn't an outside world which does not come here and does not abide to this list. You can't blame them for not coming here, because then you'd be saying they HAVE to go where YOU want them to go. Remember they are Germans; the language barrier right there doesn't help.
Also, this isn't directed at FLC at all, I know for a fact those guys don't visit Starport either. It's just a matter of understanding this is still a global community which may or may not be totally interlinked.

this is a service we provide so admins and modders can take a quick glance to see if a Version number is being used..
the Whole global community is not active here .. The old list was not up to date. so this one was started and is the most complete list avail at this time..
imo its up to the Modder to do the background search before selecting a number they would like to use not us..

Unfortunately, even I don't have any ties to the FW German team. Although, I do recommend you just use the following number scheme, 66.66. I don't think it would be that big of an issue.
I think as the others have mentioned, not every FL server is connected to the community, particularly the non-English ones.
I'd just move on and try something similar, but 66.66 has a nice ring, no?

Going with v46.2.0.1 and will use 46.2.0.1 to 46.2.9.9 ..
Thank u for putting up with my insanity last 36 hours.. hehe
oh and suhi  a very nice ring  but i don't wana be anywhere near that build # hehe i really liked it too .. but 46/2 ... ya just can't beat that for a "Dark & crunchy" mod. (yes we like tool hehe)

OK
first of the reservation of mod version is mainly a freely servers to prevent troubles but you can not blame someone who uses the same number (as the reservation has noting to do with rights)
That server is using this version number for quiete some time now. But you might not worry too much... they might not use it until the end of time ^^.
The SWAT Portal (or in other words a dev team of SWAT) is working on a new mod which was planned to be used on that server. Yeah i know i have my fingers everywhere - lol.
Best thing that can be done is waiting until the new mod is finished and released.
