'Destructible' how? They go boom but still exist? Or they go boom and don't exist? Or they go boom and turn invisible?

Because of the death screen the base appeared to remain after it was destroyed. Actually they disappear like any other destructible object until the flserver restarts.

For the explosion? Vanilla-ish. The explosion is from 'Realistic Battleships' or whatever it was called that came with FLMM.
