The two systems you refer to are for MP use only. Alcatraz as you quite rightly say is the prison system and will house server inmates deemed too dangerous to play. Heaven is the admin system that houses the server admin ships.

You can get friendly with the Fugitives, takes a while but it's doable. Some of those weapons you crave do drop after killing them which is another way to get what you need. The Nomad rep can be applied in MP which when i finish the MP version players can then ask an admin to apply the Nomad rep and from then on, good luck as you'll need it. You will have full access to the three Nomad ships available, the Nomad fighter, Nomad Elite fighter and the Nomad gunboat.

Like you say, plenty to see, and there is a Nomad stash in the Top Unknown system, have to fly around a bit before you find it though :) The MP version will be RP based, nothing too heavy so when it's released, check my forum for details. If RP isn't your thing, don't worry as the RP rules cover the fact the fact you may not want to do RP, so everyone can play and enjoy the mod.

So, you can enter those systems as the mod (in sp) is right now only but, you got to really work for it?

As fr the MP you're working on, are you going to be running another server for it or, is it going to be available for anyone to run servers?

As stated before, Alcatraz is the prison system in MP so it only works in MP, therefore it's not available in the OSP version. As also stated before, Heaven is the admin system so no use in making it available to players as there's only admin stuff there, again in MP only.

There will be a dedicated server for the mod which is already up and running and based in Texas, US. I don't really see the point in making the server file available as with so few FL players around anyway, seems pointless having more than one server as the mod is geared towards using FLAC anyway. All the plugins i have are already setup server side for running Genesis. If i give out the server exe file, most of the features won't work in MP as you need FLAC to use them.

You look at all the empty disco servers that are out there, of the 14 or 15 disco servers running, about 2 or 3 actually have players on them.

New 1.1 versions of Genesis have been released with support for MP now included. Make sure you download the correct version. Links updated in OP. Enjoy :)

Do I need to remove the OSP version before installing the MP version.
when I installed the MP version it did not show up in my mod list. Only the OSP version is shown.
Never mind. I got it. Had to find the file and unzip it. I though that had already been done. But that's what I get for being half asleep on the job.

Wheew! I know I'm not the best shooter in the world but I can't hit anything with this MOD. I took an easy job and spent 30 minuets killing one Xeno. I finally had to abort the mission. That was the most frustrating combat I've ever seen. I'd the get the buggers shield down, but then I couldn't hit him again until his shield was back up to almost full strength. All I could do was take his danged shield down and watch it build up again. I might be having a bad day, but IDK.

I tried again and did much better against the rogues. I also found that having better guns helps with xenos.
After playing a while I tried to log on to gizmo studios forum in order to read the rules. I was not able register. when I clicked the register link the page simply blinked once and stayed the same. I don't know if windows defender is messing with me or not. I did allow popups from the site. so I don't know what's up with that.

Better guns always work, you can't expect to kill anything with just the start weapons, they tickle at best. With regards to the forum problem, no idea what that is as i get new people joining everyday. Seeing as you use windows defender, i'd look there first.

Since FBU has been shut down, I have started an SP game, and edited my char just to be able to look around at the mod without being constantly in combat...

I found several Nomad Lairs that players can click on, and then select Dock. My ship just goes into a repeated Loop below the unit, and never docks with it...Why? If you can not dock on a base or other item, then Dock Button should show Greyed Out??

I have also found Many Many wrecks that have nothing on them?? Some have had some minimal items, weps or small cargo items, but the majority are empty...Again Why?? For such a small yield on them, where is the fun of searching for them??

Not to be picky, but what are the major benefits of playing this mod? Many of the things I see so far have not had a reasonable pay out for the efforts to reach them.
