Soupman and i have been selected by Eagle to Maintain the FLAC site and protect the FLAC Source code.

FLAC stands for Freelancer Anticheat, but this program does so much more.
Created by Eagle, FLAC has been used on many servers over the years.
Thanks to the generosity of Eagle, FLAC is now FREE for use (but he will still gladly accept donations).
To gain Board Access to the private forum, register at http://efs.proboards.com and and email the application at the bottom of the forum.
You must be an active server operator, references from other operators are encouraged.

FLAC offers flexibility with a GUI (Graphical User Interface) and plugins (which can be added to future builds).

You can run Ioncross beside it if you like (not in full control).
The UnderVerse uses Ioncross for extra Console messages, stats processing and clearing overlimit cargoholds.
It is not compatible with 64 bit OS's or FLHook
Specific Server/Client modifications are necessary, read the forums.
There are many mod ini additions that can enchance your mod (like mounting groups etc).
Some of the many menus are shown below.

Commands available in FLAC include a banking system that can hold over 9 quintrillion credits per account. All pilots on that account can access it.

Admin-only:
/addcash [target] [amount] Adds credits (up to 999999999) to target player, use negative amounts to deduct.
/alias [target] Lists alias's of the target player.
/ban [target] Bans the target player from the server.
/beam [target] [base] Beams the target player to the specified base.
/help [page] Displays the specified help page. (for player-only + Admin commands)
/info [target] Displays info on the target player.
/intercept [playername] Causes your ship to intercept the target player
/kick [target] Kicks the target player from the server. (for 20 minutes)
/kill [target] Kills the target player. (and fines them)
/rename
/shout [size] [colour] [message]
/u Sends message to universe.

Players:
/afk Blocks incoming private chat (sends them a message) and prints 'away from keyboard' in system chat
/autobuy [help|none|bats+bots+cd+cm+mine+msl+torp] Automatically purchases the specified items.
/autorepair [on|off] Enables or disables automatic repairing of your ship and equipment.
/bank [balance|help|deposit|withdraw] [amount] Allows transfer of credits to characters in your own account
/fragdetails Displays your pvp stats.
/frags Displays global pvp stats.
/help [page] Displays the specified help page (for player-only commands)
/i [target] or /invite [target] Invites target to your group, can also use /i# [id] and /invite# [id]
/list Lists players and their id numbers.
/loss Gets your current packetloss percentage on the server.
/mute [target] Mutes chat from the target player.
/ping Gets your current ping on the server.
/sendcash [target] [amount] Transfers credits to a player anywhere in the universe
/setjoinmessage
/unmute [target] Unmutes chat from the target player.
/uptime

And of course FLAC prevents many types of cheats.

I still have a copy & I can say that it works very well with all the player features it comes with as well as the admin features.

DMZ has come on board to help us tweak the code and make it avail to all fl server operators

UPDATE: Sep 10th 2016 We are in the process of removing the registration requirement and fixing a few issues. once done FLAC will be avail to all FL server operators

stand by for upcoming changes ..such as making it x64 compatible

DMZ has now made FLAC compatible with x64 and all versions of windows. He has removed the registration entries.

I just tested a new effects.dll he has made, he calls it AP (for AutoPilot). When you plot a course it will take your ship across multiple systems through gates (but not holes), down tradelanes etc and will dock you at the destination. A very handy tool that can only be vexed by being knocked out of cruise (but after the fight you can return to course). Nice work!

So, this works like, I plot my course then, sit back and get fat eating doughnuts and drinking coffee? No more hands-on work? That really wears me out. :D

the new FLAC is out and avail to those registered and approved in the FLAC group on eagles site

New in this release: 2.9.9.10

DMZ has done major upgrades! FLAC now works with all versions of Windows and both 32 and 64 bit OS's. He has removed the registration requirement so the KeyGen is no longer required. FLAC is now run directly from the file rather than being installed as a program.

this meets the goal we set for ourselves a long time ago when we took over the code ....good luck and have fun
